Brief introduction: Cheng Xiaohong holds the post of Professor, Doctor of Medicine, Postgraduate Tutor, visiting scholar of The Western Light of Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Director of “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” construction of key specialty of Nephropathy Department of Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine of State of Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Initiator of National Association for nephropathy which mainly works on “Chronic Tubular Interstitial Lesion”, Executive director of the standing committee of the nephropathy committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, member of the standing committee of the nephropathy committee of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, member of the standing committee of the nephropathy committee of the Chinese Association of the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.

Cheng Xiaohong is the apprentice of famous nephrologist of combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine-Wu Kangheng who works at Chengdu University of TCM, professor Chen Yipu who works at China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and professor Zou Wanzhong who works at Beijing Medical University. He is very proficient in Chinese and western medicine theory of nephropathy as well as domestic and international diagnosis and treatment progress. Cheng Xiaohong focuses on renal pathological diagnosis technique, and study of positive relationship between renal pathological changes and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic method. In the diagnosis of kidney disease, he attaches importance on the organic combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic way and renal local pathological change. This diagnostic method has certain impact on nephropathy academia in the domestic Chinese medicine and combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. He precised and also finished three provincial scientific research projects. Also, he participates in one major project of the ministry of health, six provincial scientific research subject, and wins two provincial science and technology progress award.
